Welcome and Classroom Rules/Procedures

Welcome to Mrs. Carbonera's 5th Grade Math and Science Class
Can you estimate the mass and the volume of this apple?

I am delighted to welcome your child to the 5th grade!  It is my goal that your child’s 5th grade experience will be filled with personal growth as an independent thinker and learner. Sixth grade is a year full of transitions and changes. It is my job to guide your child through these changes and to ensure success along the way.

Establishing good classroom discipline is essential to each child’s success, confidence and well-being.  Every child should feel safe and secure in their classroom, free from all threats of physical or emotional harm. In addition, it is important that each child learns to develop self-discipline and excellent work habits, to resolve conflicts peacefully and to think independently.  For these reasons the fifth  grade team has developed classroom rules/procedures to ensure your child’s success.

Please read and discuss these rules/procedures with your child.
